Mountaineering Initiation Course

Our Mountaineering initiation course is a useful tool to safely face any mountain outing during the winter season in the Pyrenees or any other mountain range.

After 20 years of experience training Mountaineers we can ensure that our mountaineering initiation course addresses all those needs and requirements to plan and develop a mountaineering outing safely.

While other mountaineering courses tend to focus on the use of crampons and ice axes, we previously developed in a classroom with the help of a PC, a blackboard and the internet all those essential content so that you learn to plan your outings. Mountain weather, snow bulletins, basic orientation applied to winter mountains, clothing and equipment…. will be some of the sections that we will dismember in our 20th campaign with our renewed mountaineering initiation course.

Our Mountaineering Initiation Courses in Ordesa and Pyrenees are designed for any mountaineer who wants to enter the world of winter mountain with knowledge and safety.

We have an aula of training to be able to develop theoretical contents with the help of the PC that will serve as a base in your future outings. You will learn how to plan your winter mountain outings safely and from home.

It is a course of autonomy in winter mountain in which it is not necessary to have experience in mountain with snow. Discover the safety techniques to progress on snowy and steep terrain with our guides.

We will develop content such as;

Cartography, nivology, weather forecasts and types of snow that we can find, use of technical equipment such as crampons, ice axes and ropes for progression and safety, as well as the use of Arva to search for avalanche victims, are several of the contents You will find in our Course of Alpinism.
