Throat or Barranco El Gorgol

This wonderful canyon is located in the Valle de Tena, north of Biescas (Huesca) and is one of the classic ravines of the area. The Gorgol is a short but very aesthetic ravine, with half-height walls of curved and vaulted forms. This gorge is formed by the waters of the Lana Mayor river.

It has a first part with small projections and a couple of small slides that take us to a beautiful room. We then continue with another slide and a first rappel or salo of 7 meters, optional jumps of up to 7 meters with the possibility of mounting a spectacular zip line that puts us in the water. At the end we will find a beautiful waterfall somewhat flown where we will descend in a rappel of about 15 meters (mandatory), after a 10 meter handrail. At the end we come to a final pool bathed in the sun, and El Gorgol opens up little by little until we reach the area where we will leave the river. This gorge is a fantastic activity to enjoy with the family. It is perfect for those who want to start in the world of Canyoning because it is an easily accessible Barranco that has a little of everything.
