The ascent to Pic de Tentes is a beautiful activity to enjoy the mountain.
The Pic de Tentes is a magnificent watchtower over the Cirque de Gavarnie at the back of all the 3000s of the Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park. We will enjoy a great day in the mountains in solitude, with impressive views, we can approach the Lacs d'Especieres and the Ibones d eLapazosa before returning.
The route itself goes up from San Nicolas de Bujaruelo at 1300mts to the Puerto de Bujaruelo at 2270mts, to reach the border with France. From there we will descend a little to Col de Tentes 2200mts to go up to its peak of the same name at 2322mts. This peak has incredible views over the Cirque de Gavarnie and the entire great wall of peaks of 3000mts bordering the PN. The return can be by the same path or if we want something more uneven, from Col de Tentes we can go up towards the Lac des Especieres, pass through the Lapazosa Pass at 2273mts and descend through the Ibon de Lapazosa towards Bujaruelo.
A day of about 8/9 hours with 1100m of accumulated unevenness.
