CABIN OF CERBILLONA. Hiking with 4×4 support.

We start the month of June by proposing an excursion of hiking with 4 × 4 support. Cross the river ara through the Bujaruelo valley to the Cabaña de Cerbillona.

Hiking with the support of a 4×4 is an activity that allows us to approach higher or farther areas than we can normally reach with our cars. In this way we save part of the route. It allows us to reach more distant areas. and we find more solitary and exclusive places.

The Bujaruelo Valley is a jewel in the peripheral part of the Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park. It is the entrance to the area of ​​the Ordesa and Vignemale Biosphere Reserve.

On this route, we will take the 4×4 in Torla, at our central office. From here we will enter the Bujaruelo Valley until we reach San Nicolás de Bujaruelo. From there we will continue along a track restricted to traffic until we reach Cabaña de Ordiso, at 1600mts. From this point we will start the route on foot. The trail runs along the side of the Ara River, crossing pastures and going up the entire valley. Marmots, arminians, chamois and even the reintroduced Hispanic Goat will accompany us. We will arrive at the foot of the Vignemale, the highest mountain in the French Pyrenees, and where we will find the pastoral cabin or free refuge of Cerbillona, ​​at 1800. After a break, we will return along the same path, descending to the Ordiso cabin, where we have the 4×4.

Excursion of something more than 1/2 day. 50 minutes in 4×4, about 4 hours of hiking and 50 minutes back in 4×4. Cumulative slope walking of 250mts.
