 CROSSING IN THE PYRENEES

Crossing in the Pyrenees for all types of public. This is an accessible route for hikers.

The pic of Midi d'Ossau is known as the guardian of the Pyrenees. A strange mountain since in the middle of a limestone massif, its rocks are of volcanic origin!

The Tour of the Midi d'Ossau is a journey that we do in 3 days, with overnight stays in the Ayous and Pombie refuges. On this journey we will travel through all the valleys that surround this magnificent mountain of volcanic origin. We will enjoy 8 or 9 ibones (mountain lakes). We will also change the landscape passing through fir and beech forests, and high altitude pastures. The lakes of Casterau, Rumassot, Peyreget or Boius will be some of the lakes that we will visit, Bious Artigues, or Portalet, some of the valleys that we will cross. And hills like Peyreget, Pombie or Souzon, where we will go from valley to valley.

Travel:

Day 1 Parking from the Bious Artigues dam to the Ayous refuge.

Day 2 Refuge d'Ayous to Refuge Pombie:

Day 3 Pombie Refuge to the Bious Artigues parking lot.
