Ski mountaineering or backcountry course at Christmas
Registration open for a ski touring or mountain skiing course at Christmas. Normally the conditions in the mountains are optimal to develop a ski touring or mountain skiing course at Christmas. Begin to diversify resources to enjoy winter and the mountains in the Pyrenees. Until Christmas it is usual that good snowfalls guarantee a good blanket of snow to successfully develop this course.
Preferably and unless the snow and weather conditions indicate otherwise, our mountain skiing course at Christmas will take place in the Tena Valley.
Dates and Place:
29 to 30 for December
We usually choose easily accessible valleys and return to the parking place of the vehicles. These are common places to practice beginner skiing.
This year and exclusively, thanks to a mutual collaboration agreement. We will have the best mountain ski equipment from the hand of GORGOL in the valley of Tena. They will apply significant discounts on rent and repair of material to our participants of courses and mountain skiing trips.
Guides of Torla-Ordesa offers you the possibility to perform mountain skiing courses of different levels but if your level is not initiation we recommend that you try to gather several friends of similar level to customize the course for this Christmas. We will outline your ideal course level and offer it to other applicants who have requested a similar level course in order to reach the minimum ratio and guarantee the realization of it.
On this occasion the ideal duration is of 3 days to practice several exercises to improve the ski technique of ascent and descent. Since the course lasts a day longer than usual, we can make a guided mountain ski trip the last day to a classic top.
If you have more days and want to extend the course…. we have a lot to teach and we can't wait to do it!
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
- Plan and carry out activities on cross-country skis of medium difficulty with the maximum possible autonomy.
