Ascent to Balaitus in two days
The ascent to Balaitus, 3144m, in the Tena Valley can be undertaken on several slopes. From the "La Sarra" reservoir, the most common way is to go up Respumoso and the Brecha de Latour. A visit to the Ibones de Arriel and La Gran Diagonal will bring us closer to one of the most alpine corners of the Pyrenees.
ASCENSION IN TWO SESSIONS SINCE ANSWERING
Peak of medium difficulty, it depends a lot on the state of the Brecha de Latour, and the amount of snow and / or ice it has. At the end of the gap there are peg steps a bit aerial. Down rappelling. In summer, when the rock is dry and we have no ice, the Latour climb is feasible for all those mountaineers free from vertigo, without the need for climbing experience.
Day 1: Reception in the reservoir of Sarra. Climb to Refuge Respomuso.
Day 2: Ascent to Balaitus (3144m) and return to the reception point.
