ORIENTATION COURSE

Get ready and get ready in our Mountain Orientation Course.

Orientation course in the mountains of 2 or 3 days to start spring learning one of the essential disciplines in the mountains. From March 18 to 19 or 20. You can take the 2-day course on the weekend or complete it with a 3rd day of activity on Monday to consolidate knowledge with a beautiful orientation career.

Our Orientation Initiation Courses in Ordesa and the Pyrenees they are designed for any mountaineer who wishes to enter the world of the mountain with knowledge and security.

We have a training classroom to develop theoretical content with the help of the PC that will serve as a basis for your future outings. You will learn to plan your mountain trips safely and judiciously from home.

Every excursion in the mountain needs a previous preparation on the map as well as a follow-up of it on the ground. For this we need some knowledge about orientation, positioning and map interpretation. This knowledge will allow us to know how to plan a route, know our exact position on the ground, chart new routes and solve any lost situation.

OBJECTIVES:

• Know the types of maps.
• Calculate distances and heights on the map.
• Position us on the map.
• Trace routes on the map.
• Take directions.

CONTENTS:

• Interpretation of map elements.
• Types of maps and scales.
• Basic mapping (how maps are made)
• Use of Compass (types and parts).
• Use of altimeters
• Trace directions.
• Tactics and orientation techniques
• Coordinate systems
• Fortuna means to orient yourself.

PLACE

• Preferably in the Ordesa area and can be done in other areas.

RATES 

• The 2-day course: € 80 per person in a minimum group of 4 people.

The minimum ratio to maintain the rate is 4 people although you can adjust the price for smaller groups. The Torla Guides Company will attempt to notify as soon as possible if this case occurs to reach a consensus among the participants.
