Escarrilla Ferrata
La Escarrilla Via Ferrata Also called Escuacho, it is a via ferrata with character. The Escarrilla ferrata is divided into two very different sections. Located in the town of Escarrilla, it is located in the heart of the Tena valley and more specifically on the Escuacho wall.
The difficulty is medium level (K3). It is suitable for all types of people over 10 years old. The only handicap could be vertigo, since the first section of the ferrata climbs 120 meters of vertical wall.
The route of its sections.
Its route crosses the deep gorge sculpted by the Gallego River by means of a monkey bridge. Its walls make this Via Ferrata a perfect setting to discover the secrets of the geological formation of the Pyrenees. Without a doubt a plus to consider being able to listen to the explanations about geology and about glaciations by our guides during the activity. We will enrich your adventure with knowledge of the environment.
Once we have crossed the bridge, we will walk along a first wall that will show the character of this via ferrata. After touring a boxwood forest, we will place ourselves under an imposing, well-equipped cliff whose verticality offers few weak points,
Once the Escuacho wall is finished, a path that descends through the forest will return us to the base of the ferrata where we can enrich our experience with a powerful K4 section (optional). This section is recommended only for people over 14 years of age and athletic people with a certain capacity for maximum strength in their forearms.
We can combine the Escarrilla Via Ferrata on the same day with the Gorgol ravine.
You can check the status of the area on the webcams of the Tena valley.
